Housekeeping Supervisor - DoubleTree by Hilton Sharjah


What will I be doing?
 

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will support the Housekeeping Department by ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire hotel in accordance with Hilton standards. You will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and efficient workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Allocate work duties to Room Attendants and other housekeeping team members.

Inspect guest rooms (vacant, occupied, and check-out), service areas, store rooms, corridors, and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet hotel brand standards.

Report and follow up on any maintenance defects, lost and found items, or other issues.

Schedule and supervise deep cleaning projects and other special assignments.

Manage and train housekeeping team members to maintain high levels of performance and adherence to standards.

Ensure all housekeeping carts and equipment are properly stocked and maintained.

Oversee stock control and manage the maintenance of housekeeping equipment.

Provide excellent guest service, including handling VIP requests and special requirements.

Check the luggage room and ensure it is clean and organized.

Clean and re-supply guest rooms as needed, ensuring Hilton standards are consistently met.

Carry out basic cleaning tasks in secondary areas and maintain the cleanliness of work equipment and offices.

Supervise the transport and sorting of dirty linen and coordinate with laundry services.

Ensure accurate daily handovers at the end of shifts to maintain smooth operations.

Housekeeping Supervisors serving Hilton brand hotels are always working on behalf of our guests and alongside other team members. To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:

Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

 

Ability to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and management in a professional manner.

A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service and the ability to lead by example.

Proficiency in using computers and software programs, including Microsoft Office; experience with property management systems is a plus.

Knowledge of housekeeping operations, including inventory control, scheduling, and productivity management.

Ability to follow and enforce all hotel standards, including health, safety, and emergency procedures.
