Job Description

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Avani+ Fares Maldives employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their Team Members. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to:

Ensure that all public, guest-facing and back of house areas of the hotel are properly cleaned at all times.Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered too.Ensure that all staff are aware of and follow departmental SOP’s and LSOP’sCoach and guide new members of the team, putting in place proper orientation training and ongoing training and development for team members. Assist in managing relationships with suppliers.Ensure records are maintained for linen inventory, uniforms, and other items as applicable.Ensure that lost and found articles are stored properly and that the correct logs are maintained.Ensure that par levels of linen, towels and uniforms are current, and in line with inventory.Develop and maintain a motivational working environment within the department and positive relations with other departments.Train staff to become multi skilled in all facets of housekeeping.Initiate measures to minimize all wastage of materials and amenities are used in the department.Ensure that proper key controls are in place.Control overtime through good management and immediate response to problems.Attend and support Task Force Missions required to support the opening of new Avani+ Fares Maldives and other MINT properties, and other special events catered by Minor International.Ensure VIP requirements are metEnsure all special requests are met, with reference to families visiting our resorts with children.

QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in the field.Fluent in English, and fair in one other language is an advantage.Must currently hold the role applying for.Should have qualifications matching to position applying for.A positive and energetic attitude.Be able to work under pressure & flexible to work within a dynamic team environment.Excellent team player.Trackable references to support the role applied for.
