About the Role: 

You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department, delivering timely cleaning, thorough inspections and consistently high standards.  In addition, you will be responsible for: 

recruitment, 

maintaining high standard of suites and public areas, 

leadership of the Housekeeping Team 

management of an on-site laundry operation, 

health & safety (including chemical registers), 

and departmental financial controls (forecasting, budget preparation, labour and supplies). 

  

About you: 

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to use their initiative. Financial acumen, reporting, computer skills, rostering and ability to place orders based on inventory needs are essential. 

Candidates should have previous Housekeeping Management experience at a luxury hotel or lodge, a proven record of training and developing strong housekeeping teams and evidence of an uncompromising attention to detail.  In addition, you will have;

A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality Industry 

A minimum of 3 years relevant experience (senior Housekeeping / Hospitality) 

Relevant tertiary level qualifications 

Ability to train and grow a team of mixed skill levels 

Knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems  

Strong and effective communication skills  

Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Exceptional organisational skills  

And a winning personality, with the ability to surprise and delight!
