This hands on leadership role is responsible for managing the housekeeping department, including rostering, organising and supervising the work, conducting daily room audits, and general administration, whilst maintaining strong working relationships with other departments as well as guests.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead and motivate housekeeping staff, ensuring open communication and a values-based culture.
Customer Service: Maintain a professional hospitality culture and ensure a safe environment for all.
Operational Efficiency: Develop cleaning schedules, ensure compliance with standards, and conduct regular quality checks.
Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety culture, manage health and safety standards, and maintain relevant accreditations.
Budget Management: Achieve labor and consumable budget targets and process customer back-charges.

About You
To be successful, you will have:
Demonstrated relevant work experience in a management level, preferably in the commercial hospitality industry
Proven practical housekeeping experience
Experience in high volume, fast paced work environments
Competence to train team (team of approx. 45 pax)
Confidence to manage to ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and HACCP standards
Class C driver's license
5+ years in hospitality, specifically in Rooms Division.
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety in hospitality
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Knowledge of stock control, industry cleaning standards, and relevant chemicals
Understanding of rostering and service scheduling
Familiarity with workplace safety systems and compliance
Expertise in deep cleaning, mold removal, and spring cleaning
Strong people management skills in a multicultural environment
