A Housekeeping Attendant will support all Housekeeping and Laundry with guest requests analyzing each request and delegating between the team members, so that work can be done in an efficient and timely manner ensuring an exceptional experience for our Guests.

What will I be doing?

\n

As Housekeeping Attendant, you will perform various cleaning duties within the Housekeeping department. The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites and you will also be responsible to report maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms/suites in compliance with standards. Specifically, a Housekeeping Attendant will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nEnsures that the cleanliness of the assigned rooms/suites are held consistently to the high operating standards\nActively works on available and released Rooms for Guest Service along with the Floor Housekeeping Supervisor instructions\nCleans rooms/ suites, as assigned, which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming where necessary and washing windows / tracks\nReports rooms as clean and available Monitor and comply with the appearance, standards of the Housekeeping department with an emphasis on team work\nCheck maid cart for supplies, stock as needed\nStrip dirty linens / towels and remove used amenities from room/suite\nReplenish linen and guest amenities\nEmpties and cleans trash containers\nDusts and polishes all furniture and chrome\nClean mirror, lights and lamps, television screen and surfaces, telephone, walls and draperies\nSweep and mop floors\nGreet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement\nClean balconies and all balconies furniture, windows surfaces and cleans the floor\nCleans the bathroom vanities, basin, toilet and shower door\nScrubs the tile floors\nDisinfects bathroom surfaces and floor\nReplaces bathroom supplies if necessary\nCleans and maintains all appliances\nRespond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests)\nReports and turns in all lost and found items which are left behind by guests\nProvides excellent guest service at all times\nReplaces Laundry Attendant or Public Area Attendant in case of holidays, days off or absences\nPerforms all other related duties as assigned by the supervisor\n

 QUALIFICATIONS

\n

 Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not necessary

\n

 Experience: 6 months to 1 year cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred

\n

 Skills: Must be physically strong. Able to communicate in English; speak, read, write English is a plus. Also able to communicate in Spanish and Papiamento.

\n

 Note: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Housekeeping Attendants may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the     hotel.
