housekeeper Lead
Job Summary: The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for supervising daily housekeeping operations across the hotel and residential units (apartments and penthouse). This includes ensuring cleanliness, quality standards, team productivity, and supporting management with operational oversight. The role serves as the liaison between the housekeeping team and leadership and acts as the primary coordinator for apartment and penthouse operations. In addition, as the Housekeeping Lead, you will cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration aimed at enhancing operational performance while empowering your team. Duties/Responsibilities: Hotel Operations: • Supervise and guide housekeeping staff to ensure productivity and efficiency. • Conduct room inspections to maintain cleanliness and brand standards. • Train new housekeeping staff on procedures and service standards. • Coordinate room assignments and monitor readiness for guest arrivals. • Report maintenance issues and support hotel cleanliness during high-occupancy periods. • Manage linen and amenity inventories. • Communicate room statuses and guest requests with the front desk. • Enforce safety, sanitation, and operational policies. • Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Room Supervisor. Apartments & Penthouse The Housekeeping Lead is the primary point of contact and coordinator for all operations related to apartments and the penthouse, including: • Housekeeping, maintenance, and overall upkeep • Coordination of food & beverage services and private rentals • Ensuring readiness and luxury-level presentation of all residential units • Managing contractors for repairs (e.g., flooring replacements, repainting) • Supporting future offerings such as wellness services and butler service • Proper staffing needs when required Department Support As residential units are not yet listed in active inventory, the Housekeeping Lead will assist other departments (laundry, front desk) when needed, maintaining flexibility and contributing across operations as required. Required Skills and Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role • Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards • Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining high service standards • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Preferred Skills and Qualifications • Previous experience in a boutique or luxury hotel setting • Familiarity with housekeeping management software or property management systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS) • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred • Certified in hospitality safety or sanitation programs (e.g., OSHA, AHLEI certifications) • Experience training and onboarding new team members Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach continuously throughout the shift • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly (e.g., linen carts, cleaning supplies) • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to inspect rooms and operate cleaning equipment • Must be comfortable using personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary Shift • Full-time position • Primarily day shifts with occasional evening or weekend coverage as needed • Flexibility required to accommodate occupancy fluctuations and staff scheduling **Pay Details:** $14.00 per hour Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.adecco.com/en-us/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
