Position: Hourly Production Planner
Location: Hillview. KY
Wage: $29.10
shift: First shift mainly, but will have to flex on second or third if needed.

Maintains master schedules for all departments and coordinates with materials manager to assist in preparation of production schedules.  Assists production department with promised, on-time shipment of customer product.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Scheduling, job creation and updating spreadsheetsJob Review Report – Closing complete ordersLiaison with production departments regarding status of order completion and ship dates.Assists in planning, coordinating company functions and meetings.Assists in monthly and year-end inventory counts of raw materials and finished productPerform receptionist duties – answering phones, greeting guests (ensure all guests sign-in and are presented with Sonoco Safety for Visitors pamphlet), provided PPE for guests going into the plant.Provide administrative support including copying, sorting, filing, faxing, etc.  Perform general office duties as assigned.

Experience leading safety plan ensuring employee engagement in Safety Hour, Participation, R3, compliance and audit completion of LCEs, TTA and TSA audits.Experience leading a plant in achieving a sustainable safety culture through effective implementation of the plant’s safety processes and initiatives.Experience Directing the activities of the Plant Safety Leadership teamFocus on risk and incident reduction through a behavior modification and observation programExperience with coaching others on incident investigation, plant auditing, and trainingExperience with Ensuring compliance of OSHA, EPA, and GA-EPD requirements through functional knowledge of these department regulationsWorking with business unit, plant floor, and leadership teams to identify and implement safety and health improvement opportunities based on employee feedback, observations, best practices, and data trendsExperience providing leadership and project management for specific projects, initiatives, and business processes needed to drive safety performanceExperience developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelinesEnsuring adequate recordkeeping and report filing for complianceInterfacing with regulatory agencies, committee members and staff to formulate corrective actionsExecuting the plant strategic and operating plans to ensure environmental and safety compliance while improving overall operating resultsProviding urgent response to operational issues, including case management of safety incidents and environmental upset conditions.Interfacing with the corporate EH&S team to execute Sonoco initiatives and actively participating in the company-wide EH&S networkExperience serving as an active member of the Division Safety Coordinators team, partnering with other leaders to discuss and resolve non-routine issues and challenges
