POSITION: Hourly Academic Teachers (PT- FTE Based on Enrollment) ASSIGNMENT: Incarcerated Education/Alternative High School Program SITE/BUILDING: Riverhead Correctional Facility, Riverhead Yaphank Correctional Facility, Yaphank Alternative High School Program RESPONSIBILITIES: + Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality instruction that reflects the diverse backgrounds of the participants in an alternative setting + Establish a supportive classroom environment that fosters the social-emotional learning of all students + Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all students + Collaborate with colleagues and program partners in an integrated approach that utilizes various curriculum to create lessons aligned to current NYS learning standards + Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment START DATE: September 2, 2025 SALARY: $51.22/hour (BA) | $55.35/hour (MA) Job Qualifications + NYS Teacher Certification (7-12) - Science or Math + Dual certification preferred Position Start Date:09/02/2025 Application Deadline:08/01/2025
