About the role of Host/ess
The Host/ess is responsible for greeting guests upon arrival, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of patrons into the dining area. The Hostess plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring guests are seated comfortably. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
Welcome guests as they enter the establishment with a friendly and courteous demeanor. Ensure guests feel valued and appreciated.
Manage the seating of guests according to the availability, ensuring they are seated in a timely manner.
Handle reservations, ensuring that they are logged correctly and that guests are seated according to their reservation time.
If the establishment is busy, manage waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates.
Take incoming calls, provide information about the restaurant, and assist with reservations or inquiries.
Assist guests with requests, provide information about menu options, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
Address guest concerns or issues professionally, escalating them to the manager when necessary.
What you bring:
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required to effectively communicate with diverse guests and staff.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in the Food & Beverage industry is essential for this position.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a luxury hotel or a similar high-end hospitality environment is highly preferred and considered a valuable asset.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk around the establishment for the duration of the shift, ensuring smooth operations.
Must maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times, adhering to the company’s dress code and grooming standards.
