What this job involves

The Lobby Host is responsible for delivering an exceptional Microsoft Customer Experience to all visitors through energetic, technology-focused hospitality services. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring professional interactions that leave positive and lasting impressions while managing front desk operations, visitor registration, and facility coordination in a dynamic corporate environment.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Greet, register, and badge visitors using Microsoft's visitor registration management system while maintaining confidentiality

• Answer and direct phone calls through main switchboard, responding to general inquiries and administrative requests

• Coordinate event requirements with business and IFM events teams, ensuring customer experience standards are met

• Perform daily sweeps of meeting rooms and lobby areas to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and professional presentation

• Monitor Microsoft devices, display services, and lobby technology, promptly reporting technical issues to IT and Site FM

• Handle incoming deliveries, arrange courier pickups, and coordinate with appropriate departments for distribution

• Provide concierge services including transportation arrangements, wireless access codes, and local area information

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Standing for extended periods at reception desk and during lobby area monitoring

• Walking throughout building to conduct daily sweeps and coordinate maintenance activities

• Ability to lift and move packages and deliveries up to 25 pounds

• Professional corporate office environment with high visitor traffic

• Interaction with diverse range of visitors, staff, and vendors throughout the day • Use of computer systems, phones, and various Microsoft technology devices

• Potential exposure to emergency situations requiring quick response and clear communication

• Maintaining professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with dress code guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education

• Proven customer service experience in professional or corporate environment • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette

• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environment

• Proficiency with computer systems, visitor management software, and basic technology troubleshooting

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive visitor information appropriately

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and during emergency situations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in corporate reception, hospitality, or visitor services role

• Familiarity with Microsoft products, services, and corporate culture

• Experience with work order management systems and facility coordination

• Basic knowledge of building security procedures and emergency response protocols

• Event coordination or administrative support experience

• Multilingual capabilities to serve diverse international visitor base

• Experience working in technology or professional services environment
