Description:

Come join the Patient Food Services team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.

Position Purpose:

The Host assists the department through the transport, delivery and retrieval of completed food trays to patients.

What you will do:

Customer Service - Solves patient/customer problems, treats patients/customer with dignity and respect, acknowledges patients/customers and responds quickly to customer needs.

Follow safety policies and procedures included but not limited to: using two patient identifiers, washing or sanitizing before and after going into patient rooms, delivering to isolation patients following proper signage and directions for the isolation precautions, and following diet orders set in place by doctors.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Candidate must be able to focus in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Duties include transporting meals to and from patient care floors throughout the entirety of the workday.

This position will be working on the patient tray line and up on the patient floors for the majority of their shift. Pushes carts containing patient trays to and from floors.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.

Good verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
