The opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring part-time Hosts to join our team at Space 220 in Orlando, Florida. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring that they have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. You will manage guest reservations, greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude, and efficiently assign tables to create a seamless dining or event experience. You will work closely with waitstaff, management, and other team members to ensure that all guests are taken care of promptly and professionally.

 

Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

Pay $17.00 - $17.00 / hour

What will you do?

 

Guest Reception: Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ensure a positive first impression.Table Management: Manage reservations, assign tables, and ensure the seating arrangements are organized and efficient. Handle waitlists and communicate estimated wait times to guests.Customer Service: Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with any special requests or concerns. Provide information about menu options, specials, or event details.Waitlist Management: Maintain an accurate waitlist during busy times, ensuring guests are seated as quickly as possible.Collaboration: Work with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and a seamless experience for guests.Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the host stand, entrance, and seating areas neat and welcoming. Ensure menus and other materials are organized and clean.Reservations Management: Use reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) to manage guest bookings and coordinate seating efficiently.Assist in Special Events: Help with event coordination and ensure guests’ needs are met during special events or large gatherings.Manage Guest Flow: Direct guests to their tables and ensure a steady flow of customers in and out of the dining area.Upsell when appropriate: Inform guests about daily specials, promotions, or items that could enhance their dining experience 

More about youExperience: Prior experience in a customer service role or hospitality is preferred, but not required.Skills:Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.Ability to operate reservation systems, phones, and basic office equipment.Team player with a positive attitude.Knowledge of the menu, specials, and general restaurant policies.

Physical requirements

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.May need to lift and carry items up to 35lbs. such as menus or cleaning supplies.
