POSITION SUMMARY:
The Host, Entertainment (Dancer) will use movement, gesture and body language to portray a character, story, situation or abstract concept to an audience, usually to the accompaniment of music. This typically involves interpreting the work of a choreographer, although it may sometimes require improvisation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keeps fit and strong through regular exercise, proper diet, and enough sleepShows up on time and preparing well for auditions, rehearsals, photoshoots, promotional events, as well as showsFollows the instructions of the choreographer and practicing required dance routinesSings, acts, and performs other related duties if requiredConducts research on different dance styles and techniquesUnderstands personal limitations and abilities and communicating these to the choreographerCollaborates with other dancers and instructors to modify steps, routines, and formationsMaintains good relationships with fellow team members, the instructor, and senior staffWorks long hours to perfect routines and being available before and after shows for meet -and-greets and photo opportunitiesAttends events to expand skillset and network with othersQUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Degree in fine arts or similar may be advantageousExperience
Formal training and extensive dance experienceSkills / Competencies
