Through a semester-based rotational model, interns will explore a variety of roles within hospitality services while developing practical skills and professional insight into the industry. Additional Opportunities: Students who complete at least two rotations may be invited to serve asInstitute Consultantsin their second year. This capstone opportunity includes working on campus-based consulting projects to improve operations, service, and student experiences. **Responsibilities** + Participate in a minimum of two semester-long work rotations + Engage in diverse roles across departments. + Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day service delivery such as food preparation, event setup, inventory organization, or facility readiness—ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with partner standards. + Guest Experience & Service: Welcome and assist guest, respond to questions or concerns, and help create a positive and professional environment that reflects hospitality best practices. + Communicate regularly with Institute mentors and participate in all required training and professional development sessions. **Minimum Qualifications** + Current undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Utah. + Demonstrated interest in hospitality, service leadership, or customer-facing careers. + Willingness to explore a variety of roles and functions—this is a rotational position. + Ability to commit to a minimum of 15 hours and up to 19 hours per week during the semester. + Open to both daytime and evening shifts. + Commitment to at least two rotational semesters. **Preferences** + Participate in a minimum of two semester-long work rotations + Engage in diverse roles across departments. + Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day service delivery such as food preparation, event setup, inventory organization, or facility readiness—ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with partner standards. + Guest Experience & Service: Welcome and assist guest, respond to questions or concerns, and help create a positive and professional environment that reflects hospitality best practices. + Communicate regularly with Institute mentors and participate in all required training and professional development sessions. + Communicate regularly with Institute mentors and participate in all required training and professional development sessions. **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
