We seek highly analytical, methodical and diligent person who is curious and passionate about hospitality sector, analytics and research (wants to understand “why and how” and is able to summarize, synthesize and explain the insights and conclusions to wider audience). The primary purpose of this role is to support C&W hospitality teams across Europe with ongoing research activity, working closely with the hospitality leadership and the EMEA heads of research for various real estate sectors. To help strengthen the position of C&W real estate services and research as leaders in the European market. The secondary purpose of the role is to support strategic advisory assignments and asset management mandates across Europe.Job Description
The key responsibilities include:
Support production of European research publications, collaborating closely with the head of hospitality research EMEA (based in Prague), the hospitality and research teams across Europe. This includes data collection, review and analytics but also visualization and drafting summaries, insights, articles and reports.
Directly update or coordinate the population of European hotel databases with each market and use central resources for the benefit of European teams.
Coordinate market-specific publications across Europe and provide research and advisory support to the various hospitality teams in each market.
Work in collaboration with the EMEA heads of research for various real estate sectors and help to ensure hospitality research is part of pan-European multi-asset class publications.
Work with marketing and PR teams to ensure efficient publication of hospitality research to reach the target audience. I directly work with social media and support distribution of hospitality research content.
Provide analytical reporting for the asset management of three existing hotels in the CEE and one in Belgium. Key responsibilities include the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual asset management reports, budgets, pre-opening reports, and recommending optimization strategies for the hotels.
Support execution of other strategic advisory mandates such as hotel repositioning reviews, market/site attractiveness assessments, investment strategy, hotel buy-side advisory etc,
Support hotel ESG advisory support to various investors across Europe
Support with the training and management of interns and new joiners in the Research & Advisory department.
Actively update and optimize current in-house processes.
Provide support and coordinate with various admin tasks.
Qualifications, experience, and skills required for this position:
Excellent spoken and written English. Additional European languages are a plus.
1-3 years of experience in the hospitality sector, either real estate consultancy, research or hotel operations analytical role (finance or revenue management departments)
Bachelor graduate, preferably from a hospitality school, ideally with courses/electives including hotel real estate topics.
Business and report writing experience.
High proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling skills.
Ability to work with extensive databases and online tools
Understanding how hotels work from operational perspective and financial aspects (Profit & Loss). Knowledge of USALI standard would be a plus.
Have a good understanding of various markets and cultures across EMEA to perform a central coordination and support role for all teams across EMEA.
Hotel sector knowledge including various operating models, brands, management companies, investors and the latest trends affecting the industry on a European level.
