What's the Job?
Responsible for the registration of all patients accessing services with an emphasis on patient access and satisfaction. Confirms eligibility and verifies insurance benefits while ensuring all necessary demographic and billing information is obtained. Explains financial responsibilities for services received and counsels patients regarding insurance benefits. Communicates effectively with insurance companies, external agencies, patients, and team members. May serve as a lead registrar or mentor for new team members, assisting with special projects and process improvement initiatives.What's Needed?
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or higher preferred. BLS certification as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment. Ability to work under minimal supervision and in a stressful environment. In-depth knowledge of specialized concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of patient registration.What's in it for me?
