We are hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team at Hospice of Western and Central Massachusetts in Worcester! This is an on-the-road position that requires the candidate to have an insured vehicle and be willing to travel throughout central Massachusetts. Weekly pay at $22 an hour! Day shift. You perform various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort. The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. Experience & Education: + Must hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in this state. + Must have at least one year of experience as a CNA. Duties & Responsibilities: + Performing personal care needs per plan of care, including bathing, feeding, and dressing. + Providing patients and families with a positive communication chain and a friendly and professional environment. + Meet the safety needs of the patient using equipment safely and properly. + Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned. + Taking and recording oral, rectal, and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency. + Providing proper care and observation of the patient’s skin. + Assessing and reporting on the patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager. + Assisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist. + Provide normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed.
