Job Summary:
The Income and Asset Analysis and Validation Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of borrower income and asset documentation. This position supports the validation process, assists with escalations, ensures adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and contributes to departmental performance metrics. The Associate will collaborate closely with team members to maintain smooth daily operations and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Income & Asset Validation:
+ Review and validate borrower income and asset documentation (e.g., pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements) for accuracy and compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
+ Income Maximization & Decision Support:
+ Identify opportunities for income maximization within established guidelines and assist in developing well-supported recommendations based on comprehensive analysis.
+ Escalation Support:
+ Assist in resolving escalated or complex cases by gathering relevant documentation, supporting investigations, and collaborating with team leads and cross-functional partners.
+ SLA Adherence:
+ Ensure timely review and decision-making in accordance with established SLAs.
+ Team Collaboration:
+ Foster a cooperative and supportive team environment by working closely with peers and leadership.
+ Process Improvement:
+ Provide input on process enhancements and actively seek opportunities to streamline workflows related to guideline review and data variance resolution.
+ Cultural Alignment:
+ Demonstrate behaviors that reflect the organization’s core values and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications:
+ Experience in mortgage operations, underwriting, or a related field preferred
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and mortgage-related systems a plus
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
