Summary:
The Home Lending Government Loan Insuring Specialist's primary function is to review and insure government loans to validate the loan adheres to government agencies guidelines; this includes FHA, VA and USDA. If the loan does not adhere to the guidelines then the team is responsible for tracking and chasing the required documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain knowledge of the agencies guidelines.Review closed government loans for adherence to agencies requirements, utilizing checklists for the different loan types.If the loan does not meet the agencies requirements, the deficiencies will need to be resolved prior to insuring the loan.Notates the origination system if documentation is missing or requires correction. Also notates the efforts made to obtain the required items.Utilizes origination system to contact mortgage loan officer, mortgage loan processor, underwriter, title companies, and real estate agents to request/push for documentation via email/fax/phone and other methods. Data input into the various agencies systems; the FHA Connection for FHA loans, VA WebLGY for VA loans, and USDA Linc for USDA loans. Information will be obtained from documentation in the file.Utilize reporting to manage and follow up on outstanding loans in individual pipelines.Ability to handle escalated cases in a professional and efficient manner.Utilizes specialized skills to coordinate, review, oversee, or administer programs, projects or processes related to the function served.Maintains detailed knowledge of company operations, organizational procedures and area's internal and external clients.Resolves discrepancies between the expected, reported and actual activity in accordance with internal department deadlines.Must possess an ability to work independently, risk assess, and prioritize their daily workload with minimal supervision in accordance with established department and investor deadlines.Must adhere to bank policies and procedures and comply with legal, regulatory and investor defined reporting, remitting and reconciling requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year in a high volume administrative role working on and resolving complex tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Mortgage Documentation experience a plus1+ years of leadership experience or demonstrated leadership skillsetExcellent in customer service, highly motivated, focused, and goal orientedMust have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanorConsistently good attendanceStrong organizational and analytic skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-upAbility to multi-taskPC and internet proficiency
