**The role you'll contribute:**
This position shares accountability for the overall operations of the home health agencies and for meeting the department's mission through personnel management including: selection, monitoring of performance and evaluation, accepting patients for care per department policy and procedures; maintaining intercommunications; resource management; reporting home health activities to hospital Board of Directors; and business development and growth. The responsibilities of this position are implemented in accordance with the hospital organizational chart.

+ Organize and direct the departments ongoing functions in compliance with all applicable JCAHO standards and all State and Federal rules and regulations in accordance with the Board of Directors of the Hospital.
+ Maintain continuity and coordinate office activities and procedures to support the standards of care established by the department within the framework of established department policies, procedures and practices.
+ Direct staff to carry out responsibilities per department policy.
+ Counsel patient care staff regularly regarding patient care planning and team collaboration to provide comprehensive services to the patient and family based on immediate and long-range goals identified in the patient care plan.
+ Be responsible for departments OBQI, Adverse Events and Improving Organizational Performance monitoring and reporting.
+ Recruit and interview potential personnel for agency staff.
**The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:**
**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's of Nursing or other healthcare related field OR 4 years of equivalent experience
+ 5 years of progressive experience leading home- based care operations or other related healthcare operations
+ Registered Nurse State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure In Florida, or
+ Physical Therapist (PT)
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Active American Heart Association BLS
