Hoist Mechanic

This includes tracking, storage, maintain, and preparation of a large stock items across multiple locations. The Hoist Mechanic will ensure all required hoist inspections and maintenance plans/programs are implemented for our rental fleet. Essential Responsibilities • Installation of chain and proper limit setting for single and double reeve chains. • Load test and perform necessary adjustments to the hoist to pass Factory Acceptance Testing. • Perform and document periodic inspections of all machines. • Understanding of entertainment standards. • Desire to improve process. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. • Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required. • Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company Minimum Qualifications • Strong organization with consistent attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly to people entering the department. • Ability to problem solve as needed. • Ability to help prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment. • Familiarity with basic mechanical skills. • Able to put in overtime as needed. • Previous experience in an entertainment or similar fast-paced industry. Work conditions of the role are: • Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions. • Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, safety toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location.
