Develops, implements, conducts, maintains, and coordinates training for multiple research entities, organizations, and other institutions. Contributes to solving complex, high-level issues within multi-disciplinary programs and leads both in-person and online training. Creates and evaluates training performance metrics, implements protocol revisions, and prepares project evaluations.

The University of Pittsburgh's School of Public Health, Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology is seeking an HIV Educator. The HIV Educator position is responsible for support of coordination and planning of all education programs of the MidAtlantic AETC, the Telehealth AETC Appalachian Project, and related grants, contracts, and initiatives. The incumbent will also serve as an educator for training programs on HIV and related topics. With supervision from PI or delegate, this individual will participate in planning groups as needed both within and outside the university to plan programs, training, and technical assistance and with supervision, develop training agendas, syllabi, and participate in collection of evaluation data. The position requires teaching, knowledge of adult learning, report writing ability, and knowledge of HIV and related conditions. Unaccompanied overnight and distance travel is required via all transportation modes (air, bus, taxi, train, automobile). International travel may be required. Must possess a valid PA driver's license and US Passport for frequent travel. A Bachelor's Degree is required and Master's Degree is preferred. Preference will be given to individuals with previous teaching and HIV experience.
