All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full-time **Shift** : Days **Location:** 2525 S DOWNING ST, Denver, 80210 **The role youll contribute:** Processes specimens for pathologic diagnosis, tissue fixation, processing, preparing and staining slides for microscopic examination by the pathologist. **The value youll bring to the team:** + Performs analytical activities related to specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special histologic staining, frozen sectioning, cover slipping and handling of irreplaceable tissue, surgical and body fluid specimens. + May prepare specimens utilized for research requests. + May transport specimens to/from collection sites and is responsible for shipment of specimens to/from collaborator sites; takes the necessary training to ensure compliance under federal/state /regulatory guidelines. + Ensures special stains are performed on tissues, as needed. **The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:** **Required qualifications:** + Associate's degree in related field: laboratory science chemical or biological science + A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience **Preferred qualifications:** + Histotechnician (HTASCP) + Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) - License + Medical Laboratory Technician (MLTASCP) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
