\nJob Summary
\nThe Histotechnician 2 prepares specimens for microscopic evaluation and diagnosis. They perform technical procedures to create microscopic slide preparations. Operates and maintains laboratory instruments, records, and documentation with minimal supervision.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\n\nPerform variety of technical procedures resulting in creation of microscopic slide preparations.\nFollow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.\nPerform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.\nMaintain appropriate inventory of supplies.\nMaintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.\nParticipate in laboratory projects and educational activities.\nDemonstrates and educates laboratory practices and technical skills to others.\n\nKey Success Factors
