Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer EIT to join our site development team. This role involves collaborating with a Licensed Surveyor, Professional Engineer, and field crew members to create site development plans and designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey field data. The civil engineer will be integral in navigating local approval processes efficiently and optimizing project outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesDraft and create detailed drawings, maps, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including topographic maps, boundary surveys, and subdivision layouts.Conduct site feasibility studies and environmental analysis.Coordinate schematic design and engineering systems.Perform site cost analysis and design development.Prepare site construction documents.Ensure the accuracy and quality of drawings.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.Civil Engineering Intern (EI) certification after passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.1-2+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in residential site planning, civil design, and drainage.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in drafting residential site plans.Ability to work independently on-site projects with minimal assistance.Work Environment
The company has a total of 7 employees, and you will be joining as the 8th. The team includes 2 Licensed Surveyors, 2 Survey Field Crew Members, a Professional Engineer/Project Manager, a Landscape Architect/Project Manager, and an Admin. The office environment is casual, where most employees wear jeans to work. The office is nice but not overly decorated. Work hours are typically 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexible start and end times, allowing employees to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM, and leave between 3 PM to 6 PM. Most team members work from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
