Hiring Certified Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in processing prescription exceptions, resolving claim rejects, and conducting member and physician outreach. You will enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system, research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues, and escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for further direction. Additionally, you will assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls and perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities + Review Prior Authorizations and determine approval or denial before sending them to a Pharmacist for final review. + Handle all health plans and types of medications. + Manage inbound phone calls from members. + Enter member demographics and prescription information into data processing systems. + Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues. + Escalate prescription-related questions to a Pharmacist. + Assist with patient or physician calls. Essential Skills + High School diploma. + Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation. + Basic computer skills. + Insurance pharmacy experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferred Nationally Certified Technician. + Registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence. + Strong computer skills. + Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred. Work Environment This position offers a professional remote work environment. You will be working with multiple screens and systems, requiring strong Wi-Fi and a dedicated office space with a closed door. The job requires availability from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 9 pm, in your time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks and some holidays. Training will occur from 10 am to 6:30 pm EST. After training, shifts will start at 8 am, 9 am, or 10 am in your time zone. A computer will be provided, but you must have your own Wi-Fi, workspace, and smartphone. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
