Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. In collaboration with others, monitors and audits EHR documentation.

2. Reviews records as scheduled or on ad hoc basis to establish completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation

3. Maintains accurate database findings

4. Selects appropriate or defined sample size to support audit validity

5. As directed, performs audit of metadata to detect potential privacy breeches related to EHR access

6. Reports irregular findings to Supervisor for reporting to Compliance officer in a timely manner

7. Maintains database related to Privacy audit function

8. In collaboration with others, monitors and reviews MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction

9. When necessary, responds to reports of duplicate or overlay MPI issues and ensures timely processing and correction

10. Maintains database of duplicate and overlay corrections for reporting purposes

11. Assists with RAC and other audit activity by entering needed data to track processing of record requests and reports identified issues to direct Supervisor in a timely manner when necessary

12. When assigned, monitors ROI activities to ensure that requests are recorded and processed in an accurate and timely manner

13. Assists with Provider Dictionary duties, included but not limited to monitoring ticket system for new or updated submission requests and entering needed data in an accurate and timely and compliant manner

14. Understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of the Ministry in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Associates or Technical school or equivalent work experience

· Superior knowledge of electronic medical record systems and other related HIM and Coding software applications

· Proficient in use of MS Office produces (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

· Ability to clearly communicate technical information to all level of management and end users

· Knowledge of hospital applications and workflows

· Strong understanding of the Catholic health ministry in an evolving health care delivery system and changing reimbursement market.

· Personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring as well as the ability to inspire and to motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of the Ministry.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-customer environment, with conflicting needs. May warrant varied and/or extended hours, with changes in workload and priorities to keep pace with the industry and advanced strategic priorities.

2. Must possess the ability to comply with enterprise policies and procedures.

3. Must be able to spend majority of work time utilizing a computer, monitor and keyboard.

4. Travel may be required to the various Ministry locations.
