Plant Leader I is an experienced leadership role that delivers profitable results and long-term value consistently aligned to business objectives. The Hillsdale site:

Located in south central Michigan, this fast-paced, high-energy manufacturing site employs approximately 100 team members and operates two adhesive product lines serving the automotive market. With a strong foothold in traditional automotive applications and growing presence in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, the site is experiencing significant growth and transformation. Over the past five years site revenue has increased by 40%, fueled by the successful launch of several new products and robust pipeline of capital projects aimed at expanding capacity and capability.  Supported by an experienced leadership team and highly automated production environment, the site offers a dynamic and forward-looking atmosphere ideal for innovation and career growth.


Your key responsibilities:

Embraces and role models DuPont Core Values; Cultivates a culture of excellencePartners with leaders to stay informed of the business strategy and needs; Engages with employees to communicate business strategy and gain insight on strengths and challenges to delivery of strategy; Leads change to meet business needsEstablishes financial accountability and rigor to deliver against plan and gain value from our assets and investments by pulling the right levers to manage expenses, margins, etc.Establishes and communicates challenging performance goals, metrics and outcomes for site to safely and efficiently meet or exceed production and quality goals aligned to customers’ needsHires, retains and develops talent to meet current and future capabilities; Promotes a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment; Coaches and provides performance feedback to team members to align on expectations and overall team effectiveness; Uses reward and recognition to drive the right behaviors and results; Defines a plant leadership learning and development plan tied to capability and development needs Promotes commitment and ownership to Operational Excellence by engaging team members to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, eliminate waste and remove barriers; Uses lean and digital tools effectivelyCollaborates across functions (R&D, Supply Chain, EHS, Engineering, Finance, Quality, etc.) to align resources, eliminate inefficiencies and deliver valueInteracts in a timely fashion with customers, community, regulatory and media to maintain strong external relations.Lead and mentor the on-site engineering team in the execution of capital projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.Actively supports the implementation and optimization of discrete manufacturing automation processes in alignment with standard engineering principles.Collaborates closely with offsite engineering and R&D teams to align site operations with process improvements and technology upgrades, ensuring smooth adoption and execution by the plant team.

Qualifications:

10 years relevant experience across multiple manufacturing disciplines: EHS, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Reliability, Technology, HR, Finance, and Continuous Improvement5 years experience leading teams; leading a team of leaders, preferred (i.e., Multiple organization levels)Experience actively working with contract organization, with a clear understanding of co-management principlesExperienced Six Sigma/Lean practitioner with demonstrated resultsBachelor's degree required - preferred degree in Sciences, Engineering, Supply ChainAPICS CSCP or CPIM Certification preferredExperience in regulated industry IATF, AS9100, or Medical and experience in auditing preferredFamiliar with discrete automation equipment, PLCs, robotic systems, and controls
