Job Summary
The HIIM Data Integrity Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of medical records by reviewing, indexing, and validating documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). This role ensures compliance with medical staff bylaws, medical staff rules and regulations, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and other regulatory requirements. The HIIM Data Integrity Analyst assigns deficiencies to providers, verifies document authentication, and ensures that medical records meet compliance standards before being considered complete.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
H.S. Diploma or GED required Associate Degree or higher in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in health information management (HIM), medical records, or healthcare data integrity required Experience working with Cerner, Epic, or other EHR systems preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of medical record documentation, indexing, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in EHR systems, HIM workflows, and data validation tools. Ability to analyze and assign deficiencies accurately based on regulatory and organizational policies. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet productivity and quality standards. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and medical staff bylaws.Licenses and Certifications
RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician preferred or RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator preferred
