Position Overview -
The job profile for this position is HIH Software Engineering Lead Analyst, which is a Band 3 Senior Contributor Career Track Role.
We are the Sales, Underwriting and Pricing technology team, a part of U. S. Employer Technology organization. We build and support critical applications used by U.S. Employer’s Sales, Underwriting and Pricing operations teams.
We are looking for a self-motivated, results driven software engineering senior analyst who will be responsible for supporting multiple applications in the Sales, Underwriting and Pricing IT organization. A person who is comfortable working on a team of dedicated individuals who deliver high quality software solutions through innovation and collaboration. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working as a scrum team member adhering to Agile principles, as well as working alone on smaller initiatives. You are expected to work closely with subject matter experts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure that application solutions meet business/customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities -
Primarily responsible for development and maintenance of complex applications used in sales and quoting processWork in Agile environment with bi-weekly sprints and provide work updates in daily Scrum calls, demonstrate completed work to stakeholders.Work directly with business areas to define business requirements and translate those requirements into working software.Research and evaluate alternative solutions; recommend and develop the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solution.Define, understand and recommend changes to the existing software and application environment in tandem with the current business needs and direction.Interact with various matrix partners and team members to ensure applications are fulfilling user requirements, are efficiently designed & are easy to support and maintain.Will be involved in multiple projects simultaneously and engaged in problem solving on these projects.Perform root cause analysis for productions issues and provide effective and timely resolution.Perform code builds and deployments, support monthly and quarterly production releases and checkouts.Support Quality engineering (QE) team developing test automation suites.Primary Skills -
Strong experience working in .Net, Python, REST services.Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, Postgress, DynamoDB is required.Working knowledge of GIT repository, CICD & Splunk is desirable.Working knowledge of cloud technology such as OpenShift, AWS is highly desirable.Experience in supporting the design and specification of data presentation and knowledge of reporting.Knowledge of Boomi and salesforce.com tools will be a plus.Knowledge of Agile/SAFe software development life cycle methodology. Working experience with Jira is required.Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross- functional teams (Business and IT).Healthcare industry experience (Health insurance policy, products, benefits, etc.) preferred.Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
Typically, 5-8 years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of three years’ experience in application development.
Location & Hours of Work
Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US east coast hours as appropriate.
Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WFH).
