Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Hayes - September Start
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a three-form entry primary school in Hayes, which is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, supportive team where collaboration and professional development are prioritised.
Location: Hayes
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + Outer London Allowance
About the Role:
Provide high-level classroom support across Key Stages 1 and 2 Deliver pre-planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher Lead small group and individual learning sessions to support pupil progress Assist with planning and assessment alongside teaching staff Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND Work collaboratively with class teachers and other support staff Participate in staff meetings, training, and whole-school events
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold HLTA status or an equivalent recognised qualification Have substantial experience working in a UK primary school Be confident delivering lessons and leading class activities independently Show strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills Be committed, enthusiastic, and flexible in their approach Demonstrate a passion for supporting children’s learning and development
