High Net Worth Commercial Credit Solutions Specialist

What is the opportunity?

This position supports the High Net Worth/Tailored Lending team for the New York Credit Branch within US Wealth Management by facilitating loan closings and performing life of loan portfolio servicing for complex lending facilities and borrowing structures while providing best in class customer experience.

All responsibilities shall be carried out in accordance with the Code of Conduct, RBC Values and Guiding Principles ensuring compliance with the Privacy Principles.

What will you do?

Loan Closing - 20%

Perform pre-closing loan due diligence and ensure any pre-closing requirements are satisfiedWork closely with Lending team and Counsel to ensure loan documentation is accurate and reflects approved loan termsCoordinate loan closing and funding with Lending Team, Counsel and Loan Operations

Portfolio Management - 80%

Track and Manage all Affirmative and Negative Loan CovenantsPerform or Review periodic Loan Covenant TestingPerform or approve funding on existing portfolioFacilitate loan renewals, refinances and payoffs

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

4 year advanced degree from accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent and / or related experience7+ years of commercial lending experience, preferably in documentation, underwriting or portfolio managementAbility to meet all work deadlinesExhibits High Level of Internal and External Client ServiceKnowledge of credit requirements and regulatory compliance for commercial and securities based lendingStrong PC skillset (Word/Excel/Outlook/Power Point)Ability to learn and adapt to in-house credit and other workflow systemsStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management

Nice-to-have

Experience working with complex commercial loans and borrowing structuresExperience in portfolio management role to include analyzing financials and calculating financial performance ratiosExperience working with High Net Worth / Private Banking client baseDemonstrated collaboration skills, working in partnerships to create effective outcomesWell organized, detail oriented, and extremely accurate   Results Oriented by executing goals within timelines & acceptable risk levels
