Description
• Performs quality improvement activities related to data collection, data review and report preparation as indicated by the Quality Improvement Plan.
• Maintains the confidentiality of member records and reports for membership and contracted providers.
• Assists the QI Supervisor in the compilation, organization, and preparation of various departmental reports.
• Maintains MCAS-related department databases and folders including updating specifications and regulatory compliance documents.
• Assists with the preparation of MCAS instructional guides, organizes webinars for training departmental staff as well as provider staff
• Assist with contacting Network Providers and provide them with educational materials related to MCAS measures.
• Works with MCAS Lead and QI Senior Operational Analyst on obtaining regular provider MCAS updates.
• May potentially assist with contacting members to provide them education and/or materials as it relates to their health and needs.
• Organizes MCAS data collection by means of sorting and analyzing chases, requesting and obtaining medical records. Maintains a tracking mechanism to record the status of the chart chases that are underway.
• Develops and implements post-MCAS interventions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Potential interventions include member and/or provider incentive projects and may include but is not limited to coordinating mailings, tracking distribution of incentives, and creating reports.
• Act as liaison to members, community providers, and internal stakeholders for the QI Department.
• Provides meeting support. This includes, but not limited to, scheduling meetings sending out agendas, and taking meeting minutes.
• Inspects the PIC report to identify issues related to missing data and report the missing data to the nurse and follow up as needed to those items.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures relative to employment and job responsibilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Education and experience:
MUST have a medical assistant certification
• High School Diploma from an accredited school or equivalent
• 4 years’ experience in health care quality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with HEDIS preferred.
Certifications:
• Typing certificate of 30wpm
Ability:
• Interact effectively with all levels of personnel within provider offices and outside agencies.
• Highly motivated, organized, and flexible.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adapt to a rapidly evolving work environment.
• Effectively utilize a computer, copier, scanner, and fax machine.
• Manage multi-task responsibilities.
• Possession of valid driver’s license and proof of State required auto liability insurance.
• Bilingual in Spanish Preferred.
Knowledge:
• Statistical reporting, developing databases, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
• Ability to effectively evaluate medical records.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
