Job Summary
The Equipment Department Parts Runner drives to assigned locations to pick up and deliver repair parts and other supplies used in the repair of Heavy Equipment. Sometimes this requires navigating with both a Pickup Truck and a Trailer. There will also be deliveries that require driving to projects located throughout Texas.
Essential Functions
Actively participates in the job site safety program. Follow all company guidelines, policies, and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for themselves and others. Safely operates the vehicle in accordance with all laws and regulations. Secure any load that is placed in the truck or trailer to prevent damage to parts. Learn what type of securement method will be needed for different loads Stop periodically to check the securement of the loads4. Learn to operate Forklifts and Telehandlers to load and unload items safely.
Must do a daily visual inspection of the vehicle and report all deficiencies promptly.6. During the work day, plans will change as priorities change. Must be able to accept changes to assignments.
Must understand that in all situations they represent Zachry Construction and operate courteously with vendors, suppliers, other employees, and the traveling public.This job summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position.
