Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary Duties include planning, developing, evaluating, and conducting current state analysis and leading the implementation of technical projects towards future state objectives.

Job Functions
Improve the safety of the plantResponsible for setting the specification for the processing of parts through their area of focusBecome a subject matter expert for their area of responsibilityLearn JMP and StatisticaTrack department metrics and develop plans/execute plans to improve these metricsUse statistical process control to monitor the performance of the area and react to out of control conditionsReduce scrap and rework caused by their area of focusWork with Manufacturing Engineering to improve equipment functionality and implement new equipmentInterface smoothly with other departments to develop joint plans for resolving parts problems.Work directly with multiple teams to successfully achieve varied goals.Perform audits to evaluate the conformance of the operations team to procedures and develop containment plansRun experiments to reduce process variability and reduce manufacturing costsWork closely with and favorably represent PCC with customers and suppliers.Maintain project plans and meet project deadlinesLogical and analytical approach to problem solvingDevelop and maintain Process Maps, PFEMA’s, and control plansDevelop and maintain Process Control Procedures
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree Materials Science/Engineering field (preferred)Process development or Process Control of Heat Treatment of metal parts3-5 years of experience in engineering related workExperience with data analysis and statistical process controlExperience writing technical processing requirements for manufacturing or equivalentGeneral knowledge of materials science engineering and manufacturing processes
Required Skills:
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards such as AMS 2750, NADCAP, etc.Strong understanding of heat treatment processes (hardening, tempering, annealing, etc.) and their application in aerospace materialsFamiliarity with various heat treatment equipment such as vacuum and atmospheric furnacesSolid foundation in ferrous/non-ferrous metallurgy , specifically as it relates to thermal processesKnowledge and demonstrated ability in engineering principles and disciplinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to communicate with various levels of the organizationDemonstrated high degree of objectivity and integrity in the evaluation of people and problemsDemonstrated ownership of an area while partnering with other stakeholdersExperience with data collection and analysis using excel
