Interacts with varying sizes and complexity of databases.
Performs detailed analysis of Biomedical Technology service agreements to include utilization rates, make/buy analysis, training return on investment studies, and time and materials risk analysis. Works to align and standardize contracts and provide additional value by leveraging purchasing volume across the Health System.
Furthers the biomedical technology strategy by focusing on deployment, training, implementation, and logistics.
Provides system administration oversight for the biomedical technology maintenance and management database supporting the Health System hospitals including UVA Hospital, UVA Community Health, Ivy Mountain Surgical Center, Riverside Surgical, and all outpatient entities. Extracts data from the clinical engineering database management system, uses the data to provide detailed analytics on repair and maintenance history to support ongoing operations.At a Health System level; provides contract analysis and management services for biomedical technology, supports the clinical engineering maintenance and management database acting at the system administrator of the system, and acts as a project management lead for biomedical technology projects to include end user education, detailed logistics and deployment planning, technology configuration assessments, and detailed record keeping for regulatory requirements. Supports Health System standardization initiatives designed to create additional value by aligning vendor support agreements with aligned terms and coterminous end dates. Consult with all levels of users to help them solve problems regarding the use and management of data as well as work on design, maintenance, and completion of highly visible organizational projects, creating efficient solutions.Troubleshooting and issue analysis.Performs data support functions.Extracts data for reports including by not limited to the UVA Environment of Care Sub Committee, the UVA CH Safety Committee structure.Under general supervision provides front line support for a user system distributed across the UVA Health footprint.Provides support to work area operations.In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $29.54 - $47.26 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School or Equivalent Required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience: 3 years of Relevant Experience Required in one or more of the following: Contract management analysis, clinical technology project management services, and biomedical technology database management.
Licensure: None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
