Job Description SummaryThe Healthcare Benefits & Programs Specialist supporting Canada and the U.S. will oversee the implementation and management of GE Aerospace's benefit programs and services. This role ensures high-quality execution and process efficiency to support HR operations, services, and tools. Responsibilities include administering benefit programs, providing operational support, and delivering exceptional service. Essential Responsibilities:
Collaborate with plan administrators to deliver exceptional benefits using relationship management, lean metrics, escalation handling, and daily operations oversight.Ensure plan compliance by monitoring regulations and informing leadership of gaps and new requirements.Coordinate and report annual health and welfare audits, track risk items to closure, and assist with mitigation plans.Support annual enrollment and regulatory requirements through updated communications and system documentation.Manage annual health and welfare handbook updates in collaboration with subject matter experts and legal teams.Partner with vendors to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to standard work practices.Analyze and resolve benefit and eligibility issues promptly.Respond to client inquiries within reasonable timeframes, following established problem resolution and escalation procedures.Support benefit plan changes and implementations through testing and validation pre/post-implementation.Govern benefit and eligibility administration, ensuring compliance with system plan rules (eligibility, enrollment, deductions, etc.).Maintain lean boards to monitor workload and key performance indicators, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvements.Develop, implement, and sustain functional standard work to drive efficiency and consistency.Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Human Resources/Benefits Administration.Proficient in both written and verbal communication skills in Canadian French and EnglishDesired Characteristics:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience conducting regulatory, legal, or business research.Strong analytical skills to assess information quality and ask critical questions.Ability to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters.Experience in data reconciliation, analytics, and performance metrics interpretation.Knowledge of typical benefit offerings, administration, industry practices, products, and methodologies.Proven ability to drive Lean methodologies with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Ability to effectively project manage small to mid-scale workstreams within projects.Excellent written communication skills, delivering concise recommendations for decision-making.Effective collaboration with cross functional teams.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No
