Summary About the Position: The NCR-Network Office is located at 6000 MacArthur Blvd in Bethesda MD. The team works together and collaborates to ensure mission success. This position is eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework". Responsibilities Oversee planning, direction, and timely execution of the Clinical Qualify Management (CQM) program to include Healthcare Accreditation/Certification compliance, Organizational Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Patient Safety/High Reliability. Ensure cost effective quality administrative and patient services are provided within the framework of established policy, standards of care, standards of practice, and regulatory requirements. Identify and communicate deficits in resources or capabilities within facilities to executive staff and higher headquarters to negotiate cross-level support or modification in requirements. Facilitate medical treatment facility healthcare accreditation/certification compliance throughout the Network, to ensure no lapse in accreditation standing or suspension of facility operations. Review and analyze directives, plans, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with DHA, DoD, and outside agency requirements and to ensure they support the development of quality management and patient safety programs. Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of employees; evaluate completed work. Develop employee performance standards and make formal and informal appraisal of work. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting data analysis to identify, monitor, evaluate, and resolve issues that may result in inefficient healthcare services; managing high level and high volume tasks; assisting with healthcare facility accreditation compliance; advising and coordinating Quality Management activities within a medical treatment facility; and identifying systemic problems or improvement opportunities to communicate support needs to higher level leadership. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Problem Solving Program Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
