Job Description:

Implement and deploy programs and processes in accordance with company Health Service standards and guidelines across all sites in Japan.

Support occupational health surveillance initiatives, including the medical aspects of hazard communication.

Manage cases of injuries and illnesses, including S35G injury classification, early symptom reporting, fitness-for-duty assessments, and return-to-work clearances.

Provide professional support for medical-related challenges, such as infectious disease outbreaks, medical emergencies, and other health threats.

Facilitate employee health promotion and education initiatives, as well as training in occupational health and occupational medicine.

Oversee the medical aspects of disability and medical absence management.

Collaborate with designated occupational physicians to manage medical and health activities.

Analyze data and generate reports on occupational health (OH) and occupational medicine (OM) services and programs.

Manage medical records to comply with company policies and local legislation requirements.

Assess compliance needs based on national health legislation.

Supervise HS third-party vendors to ensure the delivery of quality services that meet company requirements and the needs of the business units.

Being a supportive resource participating in Country Crisis Management team.
 

Required credentials:

Medical or occupational health-related background.

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma.

State registered nurse/occupational nurse certification.

Previous experience in corporate health management, occupational medicine, or occupational health.

Strong team player with exceptional communication skills.

Fluency in English.

Proficient computer skills.

Basic knowledge of Labor Law, Code of Occupational Disease Prevention, Technical Specifications for Occupational Health Surveillance, and other relevant regulations is preferred.

Willingness and ability to learn.
 

Travel Requirements:

Domestic travel required 2 to 3 times per month
 

Location:

Tokyo, Kawasaki, Niigata or Utsunomiya (depending on candidate's location)
