safety culture across our national operations.
As part of our Regional Shared Services team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of health and safety at Rabobank, ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and empowering our people to lead with safety in mind.
The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for maintaining a consistent WHS plan and program, overseeing emergency procedures, first aid, hazard and incident management, investigations, and contractor safety. As well as coordinating and supporting the WHS community, providing coaching, and promoting strong safety leadership behaviours.
This role sits at the core of Rabobank New Zealand’s wellbeing strategy, shaping safe, resilient workplaces and embedding a culture where safety is a shared value. This is a strategic, hands on position with real influence across the organisation.
What you’ll doSupport the Senior Manager WHS RANZ in uplifting compliance, maturity and culture in Health & Safety in New Zealand.
Lead the development and implementation of our WHS strategy across NZ.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.
Oversee emergency preparedness, incident investigations, and contractor safety.
Coach and support leaders and teams to embed strong safety behaviours.
Manage WHS assurance activities, audits, and reporting.
Collaborate with regional colleagues and stakeholders across NZ and Australia.
About youWe’re looking for a confident, collaborative safety professional who thrives on driving change, building relationships, and making a real difference.
A degree or diploma in WHS (or similar), with 5+ years’ experience in a comparable role.
Strong knowledge of HSWA legislation and ISO 45001 systems.
Proven ability to lead investigations (ICAM or equivalent).
Experience influencing safety culture and managing psychosocial risks.
A collaborative mindset and the confidence to engage at all levels of the business.
