You will play a key part in supporting our health and safety improvement programme within the Prove & Design department and be expected to advise, encourage and train colleagues to work safely. As a **Health & Safety Champion** , you are accountable for, but not limited to: + Provide one-to-one or team coaching, offering practical advice and support on health, safety, and environmental matters, including best practices. + Conduct structured daily safety walks with Team Leaders, using these as opportunities to coach and reinforce safety culture. + Assist in the investigation of accidents, near misses, incidents, and NDSBs, ensuring lessons learned are shared and applied. + Continuously review and validate risk assessments to ensure they remain accurate, compliant, and fit for purpose. + Develop and maintain Safe Working Practice documents tailored to departmental needs. **What You Can Demonstrate:** + Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices – Able to apply HSE principles in day-to-day operations and support compliance with relevant standards and procedures. + Coaching and mentoring skills – Capable of guiding and supporting colleagues, particularly newly trained employees, to reinforce learning and encourage safe and effective work practices. **What You May Have:** + A relevant qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH) is desirable, though not essential.
