Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Professional who is eager to embrace new challenges and contribute to our site EHS compliance, prevention, and culture. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support a wide range of Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs within a large bio-manufacturing facility. ResponsibilitiesSupport EHS compliance, prevention, and cultural initiatives at the site.Implement and manage Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs.Conduct risk assessments and manage incident reporting.Ensure chemical and biological safety procedures are followed.Develop and deliver safety training programs.Manage regulated waste and hazard communication.Oversee contractor EHS management and powered industrial truck safety.Participate in emergency planning and fall protection strategies.Promote electrical and laboratory safety standards.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience in EHS, with a focus on health and safety.Proficiency in regulated waste management, chemical and biological safety, incident management, laboratory safety, risk assessment, emergency planning, hazard communication, electrical safety, fall protection, powered industrial trucks, and contractor EHS management.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in chemical manufacturing is highly desirable.Work Environment
The work environment includes smooth flooring where pharma liquids may spill, leading to potential slip hazards. Ergonomic challenges are present due to manual handling of hoses and piping, along with possible chemical exposure. The team consists of entry-level specialists, senior specialists, and a manager. Senior specialists primarily handle injuries at the site. This role does not currently involve managing those responsibilities.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
