Are you a confident and experienced Health & Safety professional ready to take the lead in a fast-paced environment? Our client, a well-established and reputable business based in Dudley, is urgently seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to oversee and enhance all aspects of their health, safety, and environmental systems.
The Role:
You will be the go-to expert on Health & Safety legislation, working closely with managers and teams to ensure full compliance across the business. This is a hands-on role that combines strategy with day-to-day operations, where your input will directly impact safety culture, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:Provide clear and practical advice on Health & Safety legislation to all staffKeep the business compliant with all regulatory requirements and updatesImplement and maintain risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of workDevelop and deliver internal training for all shopfloor rolesOversee and ensure all Health & Safety training is up to dateCoordinate external training where necessaryManage contractor compliance and competency checksLead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015Represent the business to auditors, customers, and regulatory bodiesLead internal audits and reviews, and manage corrective action plansSupport the implementation of EHS systems across multiple sitesDeliver EHS induction training for new startersPromote a proactive Health & Safety culture across all teamsOversee the reporting and investigation of all incidents and near missesSupport disciplinary actions relating to safety breaches
What We're Looking For:Proven experience in a Health & Safety advisory or co-ordinator roleNEBOSH General Certificate is essentialExperience within manufacturing, production, or logistics environmentsSound knowledge of HSE and environmental regulationsAudit experience is highly desirableStrong communication, training, and leadership skillsFriendly, approachable, personable character with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
