Job DescriptionWe are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department!
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, you will lead the HSE team consisting of two Officers, a Graduate and two Interns based across multiple UK sites. The role scope also includes responsibility for extensive field-based associates in addition to site-based.
As a leader, mentor and coach you will develop your team to implement best practice industry approaches and solutions independently and autonomously, whilst driving a culture of health and safety across all areas of the business.
You will be the organisation’s conduit into the established international HSE infrastructure of both the division and Bosch as a whole. You will demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and participative position in this network acting as a business partner for departmental heads.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring our HSE strategy is state of the art and aligned with the values of the business. This involves developing and implementing HSE procedures and guidelines by proactively identifying and evaluating workplace risks.Lead HSE dialogues, inspections and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards and legislations, benchmarking against industry norms to promote continuous improvement.Defining key business measures and leading their implementation in collaboration with departmental heads to ensure continuous focus and improvement of the working environment (internally and externally).Facilitating thorough processes to investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, which include liaising with managers and HSE regulatory authorities to identify root causes and prevent their recurrence.Measuring and reporting HSE statistics locally, to corporate Bosch functions and to third parties as required.Actively contribute to cross functional teams and innovation projects within the business.Interested? Education Requirements:
Degree level qualification.ISOH Level 6 Diploma/NEBOSH Diploma, ideally have or be working towards a relevant environmental management qualification.Experience Requirements:
Experience of implementing / working with relevant international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001) and working with external Certification bodiesPrevious Experience leading Health, Safety and Environment within a large multi-faceted organisation.Skills & Attributes:

Working Hours:
39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak, with flexibility based on business requirement.
