As the HSE Leader, you will be instrumental in providing direction and technical expertise in the implementation and management of worker safety, health, and hygiene programs. Your leadership will help us maintain operational safety and reduce preventable injuries, ensuring a thriving workplace for everyone.

Do something that moves you.

Lead the implementation of comprehensive safety, health, and hygiene programs to achieve a ‘No Harm’ work environment.Ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards related to QHSE at our site, referencing Bayer’s HSE Management policies.Coordinate with the QHSE workgroup and provide regular updates to the Site Leadership Team regarding potential risks and impacts.Act as the Site's injury management coordinator, liaising with government regulators, medical providers, and rehabilitation bodies to facilitate worker recovery.Manage Safety, Health & Environmental Management systems, ensuring adherence to global and internal standards, including ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certifications.Represent our company at external industry bodies and government agencies related to HSE.Serve as the Fire Safety Advisor, providing critical information and auditing fire management practices.Support the Process & Plant Safety Maintainer and act as a delegate when necessary, managing site safety requirements.Conduct Machinery Safety Assessments and provide expert guidance in this area.

 

 

 

Does this sound like you?

Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment or equivalent, alongside experience in science studies.10 years + demonstrated experience in a production environment.You could consider adding the following skill to the job description:Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate team members and stakeholders to act and support initiatives without relying on traditional command-and-control methods.Ability to foster collaboration, build trust, and effectively communicate a shared vision to achieve common goals.Occupational First Aid Certificate.Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.Proficiency in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Experience in ISO system implementation.Expert knowledge of dangerous goods and hazardous substances.IATA and IMDG qualifications for logistics.Understanding Hazop principles.Experience in environmental remediation and sustainability practices.
