You will manage the delivery of all HSE activities in a manufacturing facility or commercial areas (offices, Sales, Warehouses) , including standards & procedures, capability processes, reporting, compliance and audit. That means you will define and review standards and legislation applicable to site, validate design for HSE into projects and modifications, and support defined work processes (e.g. IIM pillar) to improve HSE application and effectiveness. You will:
Co-ordinate implementation of all HSE programs and processes. Prepare and build consensus annual plans for facility/function wide HSE initiativesPlan/Budget/Control annual capital budget for HSE to enable execution of the HSE plan and adherence to all internal and external compliance standardsProvide HSE expertise for the facility/function for all new projects and change management activitiesEnsure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitorsEnsure that the appropriate talent is in place through training, mentoring, and succession planning and supports development and learning capabilities of Safety specialistsEnsure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulationsEnsure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety-perfect culture and to ensure safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organizationWhat you will bring

What you need to know about this position:
The base salary range for this position is $117,400 to $136,967 ; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results

Education / Certifications:
Minimum of 4 year B.S. degree required. EHS Management or related field preferred.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in EHS or related experience.
Minimum of 3 year management experience or supervisory equivalent.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred
Lean training preferred.
Job specific requirements:
Develop and implement processes and procedures (SOP's) to ensure facility compliance with company and regulatory agency policies including federal, state, and local legislation and, also regulations about worker safety and preservation of the environment.
Administer training programs for safety incident prevention, protection, and EHS management systems.
Provide guidance and oversight for all incident investigations. Lead, coordinate and participate in the investigations as needed to ensure effective corrective action/ preventive action closure for incidents.
Responsible for maintaining the EHS budget for the Indianapolis Bakery. Will also assist other managers in allotting for appropriate funding to complete EHS goals.
Responsible for strategic leadership and implementation of EHS systems.
Responsible for leading the bakery sustainability program and projects.
Be able to provide night and weekend coverage as needed, with on-call status with expectations of immediate response. Demonstrated experience articulating a vision, translating it into executable strategy and driving cross-functional teams to deliver against the plan.
Skilled at translating data and analytics to develop insights, tell stories, improve practices and measure impact.
Proven track record of facilitating enterprise-level initiatives with multiple business leaders and senior stake holders.
Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) exhibited at all levels within an organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships with peers and leaders across an organization.
Keen ability to drive change: to transform, align and inspire in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative with an orientation towards community building and organizing.
Ability to speak publicly about our efforts, provide trainings and clearly communicate updates.

Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook calendar and email management, and written and oral communication skills.
Experience with Environmental, Health, Safety, & Sustainability program development, implementation, and training including lock out/tag out, confined space entry, chemical hygiene, respiratory protection, fall protection, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, chemical management and behavior based safety programs.
Experience with OSHA and EPA regulations and application in food production.
Experience with Sustainability practices and initiatives.
Travel requirements: Less than 5%
Work schedule: Monday- Friday with flexibility
