Description
1. Works closely and effectively with various departments including, but not limited to, Broadband Field Operations, the Network Operations Control Center (NOCC), the Consumer Call Center, and FTTH Technicians to develop and maintain IPTV infrastructure with a keen focus on network integrity and network survivability. 2. Understands key networking components such as TV Headends, Earth Stations, Satellite and Off-Air Signal Acquisition, Aggregation, Encoding, Encryption, Middleware, Set Top Operation, and network routing/switching. 3. Accurately prepares timelines and costs for IPTV network expansion projects. 4. Performs IPTV network utilization/capacity analysis as needed and provides recommendations and designs that create growth and additional network resiliency. 5. Works with various equipment vendors extensively to make critical decisions dealing with equipment selection, implementation and troubleshooting of current and future network architecture. 6. Timely creates and maintains Visio diagrams/drawings of the FTTx/IPTV Network Infrastructure and any associated elements. Timely creates and maintains detailed Methods of Procedure (MOP) documents useful to both the NOCC and other Operational Departments for the implementation, development, and maintenance of the IPTV Video environment. 7. Consistently verifies that records are always correct and up to date. 8. Schedules Network Activity requests/Maintenance Requests (MR) with Change Management/NOCC. Facilitates and responsibly manages projects with authorized contractors or smart hands. 9. Develops and maintains effective communications and working relationships and appropriately trains personnel and shares information with other departments to ensure cross functional transfer of knowledge Company-wide. 10. Remains available for network repairs, installations, and potentially unforeseen or unplanned circumstances on a 24x7 basis when requested. 11. Able to work successfully in a TEAM BASED AND HIGH-PERFORMANCE CULTURE. Perform additional duties as assigned. 12. Lead position – In addition to the above. a. Train other team members as needed. b. Serves as a back-up to the Manager when Manager is out. c. Actively engaged as an employee advocate and fully committed to supporting our strategic vision to be and become known as the BEST in our industry. d. Be a situational leader and be Obsessed with high quality and perfection and ability to succeed at maintaining trust. e. Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs. f. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems degree or equivalent experience required. 4-6 years' experience in the telecommunications/cable television industry is required. Experience with IPTV equipment such as Elemental Encoders, Sencore, SA DNCS/RNCS, Motorola DAC, CAP-1000, Innovative Systems is required. Experience with software development life cycle, writing use cases, test plans, and conducting quality assurance testing is required. Experience with IPTV components such as middleware, client app, ABR, manifest, HLS/Dash, Edge cache are highly recommended. Experience with Servicenow is required. Experience with TIVO (MobiTV) Managed Service is required. Experience with Linux (Redhat) is preferred. Experience with OSI Layers 1-4, IP transport and multicast is required. Excellent personal computer skills are required with emphasis in Windows, Excel, Word, and Visio.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
