Head Spa Therapist

A Head Spa Therapist is responsible for leading the spa therapy team and providing professional treatments and services for guests, including but not limited to body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice, and managing the overall spa operations. Maintaining safety, cleanliness, team performance, and ensuring guest satisfaction in accordance with company standards are key responsibilities. 

What will I be doing?

 

As a Head Spa Therapist, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Attending Hilton Trainings and monthly departmental meetings as required

Leading, mentoring, and supervising the spa therapy team to ensure consistent high-quality treatments and guest service

Performing massages and other spa treatments for guests when needed, especially for VIP clients 

Managing staff schedules, performance, and training to maintain an efficient and skilled team

Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all spa areas

Reporting any maintenance issues to the Front Office Manager and coordinating timely resolution

Assisting in all areas of the operations as requested by the Front Office Manager

Being fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel and spa

Ensuring that the departmental operation budget is adhered to, maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses

Providing efficient guest service from point of arrival to check out, including booking, changing, and canceling appointments, and upselling retail products and spa packages

Accurately scheduling all massage and treatment reservations, confirming changes and cancellations

Processing all billing and posting for spa and retail services; reporting any overages or shortages to Front Office Manager

Explaining spa treatment menus and packages clearly and professionally to guests

Greeting and welcoming all incoming and outgoing guests and staff in accordance with brand standards

Maintaining the quality of service and overall appearance of locker areas, lounge area, and restrooms

Ensuring proper cleanliness of locker room, lounge, steam/sauna room, prep room, and restrooms

Ensuring stocking of water and other beverages and setting up and breaking down of beverage and fruit stations

Providing personal training sessions and assisting guests as necessary

Maintaining the fitness center: looking after equipment and coordinating with the Precor representative for maintenance and product updates

Ensuring audio-visual equipment is well maintained and in good condition

Monitoring and improving spa service quality and guest satisfaction

Preparing reports on team performance, revenues, guest feedback, and operational issues for senior management

Collaborating with other departments to enhance overall guest experience

Ensuring compliance with all company policies, health, and safety regulations

What are we looking for?
 

A Head Spa Therapist serving Hilton Brand hotels and vacations is always working on behalf of our Guests and collaborating with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Proven leadership and team management skills within a spa or hospitality environment

Strong experience in hospitality or customer service industry is required

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to effectively communicate with guests and team members

Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or employees of the organization

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations

At least 3 years experience in the spa or hospitality industry, including supervisory or leadership experience

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Experience in a resort, hotel, or wellness-related field in a supervisory or management capacity

Advanced certifications or training in spa therapies and wellness treatments

Proven ability to drive revenue through upselling and guest engagement

Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage daily operations and team performance
