Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Monday- Friday 08:00am-4:30pm

The role youll contribute: Support manager with the technical functions of the orthopedic support department and assists in staffing according to needs. Provides direct and indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients in various settings on as needed basis.

Supervises ortho techs, facilitates their development, evaluates performance, coaches, counsels and follows progressive disciplinary procedures, as needed. Coordinates activities of care responsibilities including the assurance that the staff adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Systematically monitors process improvement initiatives, documents results and works with manager to deploy information to staff for appropriate actions.

Actively participates in the development of staff clinical skills, employee engagement, and customer and partners satisfaction.

Collaborates with manager in hiring and orienting new staff to assigned area to familiarize them with area processes, equipment, safety and business plans as demonstrated by staff correctly carrying-out patient care according to policies, procedures and other references.

Collaborates with manager in monitoring staff and equipment needs, expenses and efficiencies. Establishes plan for variances and monitors results as observed by manager. Takes responsibility for the environment of care by monitoring and taking action as needed.

Qualifications

What Will You Need:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Minimum of one (1) year Orthopedic Technician experience

High school diploma or GED

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :

BLS Certificate
