Your Role:

The Head of Regional Plant Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all plant operations within a designated region, ensuring alignment with business demands to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, community engagement, efficiency, and employee satisfaction. This position requires close collaboration with Site Directors and their Plant Operations leadership teams to contribute effectively to the organization’s global manufacturing operations strategy. The incumbent will focus on implementing best-in-class methods tailored to the regional context while also considering how these practices can be scaled globally. Additionally, this role involves managing substantial monetary and non-monetary resources, influencing their allocation across the various plants.
Key responsibilities include leading the regional sites to ensure consistent and compliant manufacturing, with full accountability for safety, quality, supply, service, and efficiency. The Head will support company objectives by maintaining a strong customer focus and achieving performance targets related to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), quality, service, efficiency, and employee engagement. They will champion a robust EHS and sustainability culture by defining and executing a clear roadmap to meet the company’s commitments.
The Head will also be responsible for setting strategic direction, providing leadership, and managing team organization across the regional network to ensure alignment with the broader company strategies. They will contribute to the ISCO strategy by developing and executing a tailored strategy for the regional network of manufacturing sites, significantly improving operations, optimizing performance, and meeting key operational targets such as unfulfilled demand and quality indicators while reducing accidents.
Operational planning is another critical aspect of this role, covering financial expectations, resource allocation, performance metrics, and investments within the region. The Head will lead strategic sites with diverse technologies, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. In collaboration with the ISCO Plant Operations leadership team, they will prioritize and execute both near-term and long-term operational strategies, streamline processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and standardization across key performance metrics. This role significantly impacts the region's performance and future direction, contributing to the overall strategy development.

 

Who you are:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, or related/equivalent field.
•    Master’s degree in the mentioned fields preferred.
•    15 years’ experience of successful experience in operational leadership roles encompassing plant management, manufacturing execution systems, materials management, sales and operations planning and continuous improvement with strong business acumen and financial management.
•    Experience in site management, preferably large and/or across multiple sites and geographies.
•    Possesses Valuable Knowledge of respective chemical technology.
•    Ability to translate, steer and execute near and long-term tactics for plant and distribution center operations.
•    Demonstrated effectiveness and efficiency in plant, division or other operations management roles responsible for multiple, complex value streams.
•    Strong collaborator across regional global teams, as well as plant locations, to deploy and improve standards.
•    Possesses deep and broad expertise on best-in-class manufacturing operations, leveraging in-depth knowledge of competitors as well as challenges and developments in the industry to achieve objectives and to identify business opportunities.
•    Strong principle-based coaching and collaboration skills.
•    Experienced in directing and managing diverse teams, including multi-cultural exposure.
•    Process oriented with solid financial and analytical skills, and ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations.
•    Excellent project management skills and able to effectively manage multiple projects regionally.
